MICHAEL J. CICHON, M.D., M.S., F.A.C.P
INTERNAL MEDICINE & INFECTIOUS DISEASE
Dr.Cichon is a primary care physician specializing in Internal Medicine, which deals with the diagnosis and treatment
of internal systems. He is also a board certified specialist in Infectious Diseases and a fellow of the American College
of Physicians. Dr.Cichon earned his degrees from the University of Illinois, the University of Oklahoma, The Chicago
Medical School and the University of South Florida. He serves as an Associate Professor at the University of South Florida
Medical School. His practice includes a large patient base of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, flbromyalgia, chemical sensitivity
and Lyme Disease. After 30 years in private practice, Dr. Cichon is well recognized as a patient advocate and for his
success in treating patients suffering with these diseases.
Cathy Kessenich, D.S.N., A.R.N.P.
NURSE PRACTITIONER
Cathy Kessenich has 25 years of experience as a nurse and an educator. She specializes in osteoporosis (ISCD certified)
and assessment and management of other chronic diseases. Her credits include Professor of Nursing at the University of
Tampa. She graduated from Boston University with a master’s degree in Nursing. She obtained her doctorate in nursing
from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a Nurse Practitioner certificate from Simmons College in Boston. She
is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as an Adult Nurse practitioner.
Susan Ganio, R.N., C.R.N.I
REGISTERED NURSE
Susan Ganio is a registered nurse with over 30 years of nursing experience in hospital, clinic, and private office environments.
She has been on staff with Dr. Cichon since 1993.
She holds an INCC accreditation as a Certified Registered Nurse of Infusion Therapy and is a member of the Infusion Nurses
Society at the local and national levels. Her skills include the placement of PICC lines, peripheral IV catheters, Mediport
access, and management of central catheters. Her expertice in both nursing and IV therapy adds a special dimension to the
care of our patients and their families.
